TREE 花見

Happy spring!
This year TREE held its first ever cherry blossom viewing party. We went outside of Misato to Shimizu Park in Noda city. The cherry blossoms had only just started to bloom so there sadly wasn`t a lot of flowers to see, but the weather was fine and the company was great! Come join us next year!

Valentine`s Day Craft

This week at TREE we are celebrating Valentine`s Day. In Kindergarten and Elementary school age classes, we used a food tray to make a lovely picture frame. The children enjoyed learning about Valentine`s Day in America and were able to make a craft to give to their families or friends!

英検Jr.結果発表！

先月行われた児童英検の結果が返ってきました。
今回は、最も難しいゴールドの受験者もいましたが、平均点87.9点と全国平均を大きく上回る素晴らしい結果が出ました！
日頃の頑張りの成果が出た結果だと思います。
みんな良く出来ました！
この調子で頑張ってください！

Christmas TREE

 Its a month away from Christmas and decked the halls with holiday cheer here at TREE. Decorations are not only inside the school, we have strung Christmas lights outside as well. According to early Christmas traditions, only the Christmas Tree had any sort of luminaries. Until this time, Christmas Trees were decorated with lit candles. Lighting candles and placing them on a dry tree was incredibly dangerous. Many house fires occurred around this time, but people took the risk anyway. Edison`s Christmas lights were much safer than using candles and more versatile too! Edison himself strung Christmas lights outside around his home during the holiday season so people passing by could see! From this time on, decorating the outside of one`s house became a common Christmas tradition for people in America.

 At TREE, we do our best to expose our students to American culture in an effort to give them a deeper understanding of English. English fluency isn`t just knowing the words, culture is important too! Happy Holidays.

Junior Halloween Party

中高生のクラスではハロウィーンのストラップを作りました。
みんな、自分の好きなデザインで素敵な作品が出来ました。
マーク先生からのピザの差し入れもあり、おなかもいっぱいになりました。

幼稚園 Halloween Lesson

新和幼稚園の課外レッスンでもハロウィーンをテーマに行いました。
マーク先生がバズライトイヤーになって登場！
この日は、みんなでお面を作ってレッスンをしました。
最後にはTrick or Treatでキャンディーをもらいました。

A Spooky Spider

With Halloween only a few weeks away, things have gotten spooky at TREE lately. We added a few new decorations around the school for the kids to enjoy, including a giant man-eating spider. We were also able to get several pumpkins to make jack-o-lanterns this year!

This is a chance for kids to enjoy an American style Halloween complete with trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving, so don`t miss it!
